FLIGHT TRAINING
Aurora Flight Training provides flight training and ground instruction services ranging from the Private Pilot Certificate through CFI (Certified Flight Instructor). Many of our prior students are currently working in the aviation industry as commercial/airline pilots. We also working on building up programs to provide a variety of flight training services including Flight Reviews, IPC’s, and mountain flying courses.
We have great connections to maintenance for our planes where everything is professionally maintained and is also available to provide expert aircraft maintenance services to aircraft owners outside of our club. Whether your airplane is based at Aurora State Airport, or if you’re just passing through, we can do what it takes to keep you safely flying.

We offer comprehensive, one on one or group instruction for any and all licenses to whatever extent our student may require and scheduled at their convenience.
This certificate requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training, and allows you to fly most single engine aircraft day or night under fair weather conditions. Once certified, you may add an instrument rating that will allow you to fly in the clouds.
This rating lets you fly in instrument meteorological conditions (clouds and low visibility). It not only allows you to become a much safer pilot by learning these skills, but it also allows you to make a flight where you might otherwise have to cancel due to marginal weather.
MOSIAC Transition Training
Our Mosaic Transition Training Program is designed to help pilots seamlessly move from recreational flying to advanced certifications, giving them the confidence, structure, and support to achieve their next level in aviation.
At Aurora Flight Training you can receive training for various instructor certificates. Once completed individuals may have the opportunity to instruct with our school.
This is the first step in a pilot’s career that allows a person to work as a pilot. We offer single engine flight training on the commercial level that will enable a pilot to meet minimum standards to work for compensation in a variety of areas ranging from commercial operators, banner towing and flight instruction. Multi engine is coming!
